What is a good mulch for hellebores. I read they don't like wood chips, but didn't see an alternative. My Rhodie has pale green/yellow leaves. Is there a cure?

Figs usually grow in zones 7 to 10 so if you live where winters get cold (or below 15 degrees) the leaves will drop as the tree goes into dormancy and tries to survive.
