Ah yes... this volunteer look very familiar as it pops up in my garden as well. It is an English Laurel and the birds eat the berries then deposit the seeds about the area. You can transplant it if you need evergreen screening anyplace but this shrub will quickly grow to become a large plant that will crowd out other plants nearby. It will survive in dry shade so can be useful in creating a privacy hedge. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
