My Christmas cactus has been 'limp'. It is in a plastic pot about 8" wide X 7" deep. Good size plant and water it with about 16 oz. water on Mondays...only. How do I keep hanging baskets beautiful all summer

I bought beautiful hanging baskets that like sun. I water them daily. They get about 6+ hours of sun daily. I did fertilize, but maybe not as accurately as I should have. How Do I revive them and keep them beautiful into the early fall?

Should I add more soil?

I have a purple shamrock that I repotted about 4 months ago. The soil has settled significantly, and is now about 6 inches below the rim of the pot. Should I add more soil to the top, or take it out and add soil to the bottom?
