Application Rates
Hello Marianne,
Please tell me the application rate when using the Flower and Vegetable Plant Food for established perennials. The container only gives rates for 4″ transplants and a broadcast rate. How would I use it for individual established perennials and also for things such as peonies and clematis vines.

I use one tablespoon of Osmocote around each established perennial plant in my garden with great results. Peonies and clematis love the slow release nutrients but I do not fertilize perennials such as Artemesia or Dusty Miller as these gray foliage plants do not require much fertilizing and I prefer they not flower and concentrate on growing more silvery gray leaves.
