Bamboo is such an easy to propagate plant that you can use the Indoor/Outdoor Osmocote as a general purpose plant food to get the roots growing. Good drainage is key but do not let the roots dry out as the foliage starts to emerge. Be sure to read and follow the instructions on the label as over using any fertilizer is not for the plants.
