heirloom tomatoes

Planted regular, indeterminate tomatoes. Why does an heirloom tomato appear on an indeterminate plant? Big and beautiful but, how does that happen?

Not sure what you are asking. "Heirloom" or older varieties of tomatoes can be indeterminate or tall and free fruiting just as they can be determinate or shorter with fruit ripening all at once. Did you mean to ask about the new grafted tomatoes? Or if you planted one type and a different variety shows up the most common cause is mislabeling of plants or seeds. This happens more often than you would think.  Your cabbage and tomatoes look lovely by the way. Glad they are big and beautiful. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
