I am going to say no, or at least not without some modifications of the desert climate. The plants you mention go dormant in the winter and in Palm Desert the warm winter temps make this difficult. Not to mention the intense summer heat! Visit the local nurseries to get a glimpse of what prefers to grow in the area. There are plenty of beautiful plants that love the climate.
